For the convenience of email-avoiding subscribers and samplers, here's the email sent earlier on Monday, including Salvation Army's body blow to the Government's Social Housing reforms, another record high for net migration and my weekend column taxing online purchases.

The debate over the sale of state houses and the associated reform of Income Related Rents got another kick along yesterday with Prime Minister John Key following up on Social Housing Minister Paula Bennett's weekend comments by saying sales to community groups would be discounted and the reforms would increase the amount of available social housing.
