Forest and Bird has accused fishing boat skippers of avoiding oversight by an observer from the Ministry for Primary Industries, despite having a legal obligation to do so. Forest and Bird released OIA papers showing 50 cases of avoiding taking on observers from August 2016 to February this year. ( RNZ )


Donald Trump effectively tore up a G7 communique as he flew out of Quebec for his summit in Singapore with Kim Jon Un. He instructed his officials not to sign the communique after Justin Trudeau said Canada would push back at America's tariffs on imports.
