Confusion continues over TPP

The fate of the Trans Pacific Partnership trade deal is still "in the wind" hours out from a meeting of leaders, with Trade Minister David Parker revealing confusion around the negotiating table.

Ministers believed they had reached an agreement in principle on progressing the TPP, but as officials met to sign off on the deal, one country raised concerns, Parker said.

He was unclear whether a deal could be reached by the end of Friday, with talks ongoing.

The Trade Minister said New Zealand got some of it what it wanted on the ISDS clauses but not all - although enough to be comfortable with a deal.
